Adjustable Spacer Load Rings for Hydraulic Pumps – Easier Installation and Longer Bearing Life

Load rings are a critical component in the operation of hydraulic pumps. Without these relatively simple parts, industrial pump equipment requires the manual shimming of bearings – a complex, time-consuming process.

That’s why we’ve developed the Temper Adjustable Spacer load ring. This precision spacer is designed to crush at a constant force over a wide range. As the rings are crushed axially, the load value is the same over a large axial displacement.

The result: a much simpler bearing installation process, with more accurate alignment to promote a longer bearing life.

Precision Load Ring Spacers – Manufactured in the USA

Fabricated from ductile, high-strength stainless steel, our unique load ring offers a small but repeatable amount of spring back when used. Because of the expertise and engineering that went into developing this ring, precision is measured in thousandths of an inch over a wide tolerance of take-up range. Most of our rings hold a constant force from 0.065” to .100” of crush.

Custom Engineered and Optimized for Your Hydraulic Pump Application

In order to optimally design your custom Temper Adjustable Spacer Load Rings, our engineers collect data and use the geometry of the customer’s existing design to determine the best placement for the load ring. Once the ideal location is determined, our team designs and fits a Temper Adjustable Spacer Load Ring, thus maximizing both the performance and reliability of your custom pump application.
